Stand alone dry pipe
A dry pipe system is a standard sprinkler installation in which the pipe-work is permanently charged with gas under pressure above the alarm valve
and with water under pressure below the alarm valve.
When sprinkler head opens, the gas pressure drops thus allowing the dry pipe valve to open admitting water into the system.
These types of systems are usually installed in buildings where temperature conditions are below freezing such as cold or cool stores or
where temperatures are maintained above 70degC as in drying ovens etc.
