Access Control Systems
Access control systems are an excellent way of managing who can enter a building, what parts of a building they are allowed access to and when they can access any area. Access control systems can be programmed for differing levels of access, differing times of access for differing groups of employees. Each employee can be programmed differently to suit your business requirements. The system will also log all events (doors open /closing etc) and by whom and at what time. It can also log when a valid try of the door was attempted and by whom.
Unlike a key which once issued to a person can be used at any time.
Access control systems are made up of a controller, keypad (for onsite programming) and access control devices wired to the controller to control doors, gates or such like.
Also connected are the locking devices which lock the door etc until access is granted.
The access controller may be connected to a computer to program, run the system along with remote access. This computer can also give graphical maps / drawings of the layout of the building(s) being controlled with all access point shown and controlled form the graphics.
